Video Editor & Social Media Reels Specialist Company: Ceylon Academy of Gemmological Science (CAGS) Position: Video Editor & Social Media Reels Specialist Industry: Education / Digital Marketing / Media & Content Creation Job Summary Ceylon Academy of Gemmological Science (CAGS) is looking for a creative, talented and energetic Video Editor & Social Media Reels Specialist to join its growing media team. The ideal candidate should have strong video editing skills, a passion for digital content creation and the ability to produce engaging videos for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube. Key Responsibilities * Edit engaging Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts and Facebook Reels. * Create educational, promotional and influencer-style video content. * Transform raw footage into professional short-form videos. * Add captions, graphics, music, sound effects and transitions. * Create attention-grabbing hooks and engaging storytelling. * Repurpose long-form videos into multiple short videos. * Follow current social media trends and content strategies. * Collaborate with presenters, influencers and the marketing team. * Develop creative video concepts to improve audience engagement. * Maintain consistent CAGS branding across all video content. * Deliver videos according to the weekly content calendar. Candidate Requirements * Strong video editing and content creation skills. * Experience creating Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts. * Knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut or After Effects. * Good understanding of social media trends and digital marketing. * Strong creativity, storytelling and visual presentation skills. * Knowledge of captions, transitions, music selection and video pacing. * Understanding of influencer marketing and personal branding. * Ability to work independently and collaborate with a creative team. * Good time-management and communication skills. * Ability to meet deadlines and produce high-quality content. * Previous video editing work or a portfolio is required for application.
