Storekeeper Company: Abans Group Position: Storekeeper Location: Kurunegala, Sri Lanka Initial Work Location: Seeduwa Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: Minimum 1 Year Educational Qualification: G.C.E. A/L or Equivalent Job Summary Abans Group is looking for an experienced, responsible and well-organized Storekeeper to join its warehouse operations team. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of inventory management, stock control and warehouse operations, with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure efficient daily warehouse activities. Key Responsibilities * Receive, inspect, store and issue goods accurately. * Maintain proper stock levels and inventory records. * Monitor stock movements and update relevant documentation. * Conduct regular stock counts and inventory checks. * Ensure proper implementation of FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures. * Maintain accurate stock reports and warehouse records. * Coordinate with internal departments regarding daily warehouse operations. * Identify and report stock shortages, damages and discrepancies. * Maintain a clean, safe and organized warehouse environment. * Ensure efficient stock handling and storage procedures. Candidate Requirements * Minimum 1 year of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, warehousing or logistics. * G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) or equivalent qualification. * A university degree is not required. * Good knowledge of inventory handling and stock control. * Understanding of warehouse operations and FIFO procedures. * Knowledge of Microsoft Excel or ERP systems will be an added advantage. * Experience in stock counting and maintaining inventory records. * Good communication and coordination skills. * Strong organizational and time-management abilities. * Good attention to detail and accuracy. * Responsible, reliable and hardworking personality. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Location & Accommodation š Initial Location: Seeduwa Warehouse š Permanent Location: Kurunegala Warehouse š Free Accommodation: Company-provided accommodation during the initial working period in Seeduwa. Candidates will initially work at the Seeduwa warehouse for a few months before being transferred to the Kurunegala warehouse.
