Merchandiser

Job description

💠 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Monitor stock availability across all locations in line with sales performance and product movement. * Ensure inventory is appropriately balanced across product categories and branches according to projected sales. * Raise timely re-orders while considering supplier lead times, stock levels, and sales requirements. * Identify slow-moving and underperforming items and support suitable liquidation or promotional programmes. * Assign product codes and retail prices for new items received from suppliers. * Maintain an accurate and up-to-date catalogue of all products. * Support the introduction of new products and suitable replacement products where required. * Analyse sales and inventory data to identify trends, gaps, and merchandising opportunities. * Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Stores, and Management to support efficient stock planning. * Prepare regular merchandising, stock, and performance reports for management review. * Help minimise overstocking, stock-outs, and unnecessary inventory holding. 💠 REQUIREMENTS & CANDIDATE PROFILE * Previous experience in merchandising, retail operations, stock control, or inventory management. * Experience in the jewellery or premium retail industry will be an added advantage. * Strong proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools. * Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Good planning, organisational, and time-management abilities. * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. * Strong communication and coordination skills. * Commercial mindset with an understanding of sales trends and customer demand. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
