💼 POSITION: Industrial Trainee – Terminal Operations Company: Hambantota International Port Group (Pvt) Limited (HIPG) Location: Hambantota International Port, Mirijjawila, Hambantota Training Duration: 6 Months 🚢 BUILD YOUR CAREER IN PORT, LOGISTICS & TERMINAL OPERATIONS Hambantota International Port Group (Pvt) Limited is offering a six-month Industrial Trainee – Terminal Operations programme for ambitious graduates and diploma holders who are interested in developing a career in port operations, shipping, logistics, and terminal management. This programme provides hands-on exposure to a dynamic 24/7 port environment, helping trainees build practical knowledge, operational discipline, and industry-relevant skills. 💠 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Support day-to-day terminal and port operations. * Assist with coordination of cargo, logistics, and operational activities. * Work closely with operational teams in a fast-paced port environment. * Follow established operational procedures, safety standards, and work practices. * Support frontline terminal activities and operational reporting. * Assist in identifying operational issues and supporting timely solutions. * Maintain accurate records and provide basic administrative support when required. * Learn and apply port, shipping, and logistics procedures under supervision. * Coordinate effectively with different internal operational teams. * Contribute positively to productivity, safety, and service standards. 💠 REQUIREMENTS – DEGREE HOLDERS * Currently pursuing the final year of an undergraduate degree or recently graduated. * Preferred fields include: * Transport & Logistics Management * Business Management * Physical Sciences * or a related discipline. 💠 REQUIREMENTS – DIPLOMA HOLDERS * Currently undergoing an industrial training placement or recently completed a relevant Diploma / NVQ Level 4 or 5. * Preferred fields include: * Transport & Logistics Management * Business Management * or a related discipline. 💠 CANDIDATE PROFILE * Strong interest in port operations, shipping, logistics, and terminal operations. * Willingness to develop a long-term career in the maritime and logistics industry. * Ability to work on a shift basis and support 24/7 operational requirements. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fa
