Video Editor Company: CAGS ā Ceylon Academy of Gemmological Science Position: Video Editor Department: Marketing & Media Location: Malabe Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary CAGS is looking for a creative and talented Video Editor to join its growing Marketing & Media team. The ideal candidate should have a strong visual sense and the ability to transform raw footage into engaging, professional content for social media and promotional campaigns. Key Responsibilities * Edit high-quality videos for social media, marketing, and promotional campaigns. * Create engaging Instagram Reels, Stories, TikTok videos, and YouTube content. * Transform raw footage into polished and professional videos. * Add captions, text, graphics, music, sound effects, and transitions. * Create short-form content designed to attract and engage online audiences. * Edit promotional, educational, event, and marketing videos. * Work closely with the marketing and media team to develop creative content ideas. * Maintain consistent CAGS branding across video content. * Optimize videos for different social-media platforms and formats. * Organize and manage video footage and project files. * Follow current video-editing and social-media trends. * Complete projects according to required deadlines. Requirements * Strong video-editing skills. * Creative storytelling ability and a good visual sense. * Experience creating Reels, TikTok, and YouTube content. * Ability to create engaging promotional videos. * Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, and/or After Effects will be an advantage. * Good understanding of pacing, transitions, audio, and visual presentation. * Creative, detail-oriented, and willing to develop fresh content ideas. * Ability to work independently and as part of a creative team. * Good time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines. * A portfolio or examples of previous video work are preferred. Requirements
