Video Editor Company: CAGS – Ceylon Academy of Gemmological Science Position: Video Editor Department: Marketing & Media Location: Malabe Job Summary CAGS – Ceylon Academy of Gemmological Science is looking for a creative, talented, and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our growing Marketing & Media team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for visual storytelling and digital content creation, with the ability to transform raw footage into engaging, professional content for social media, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities. Key Responsibilities * Edit high-quality videos for CAGS marketing and promotional campaigns. * Create engaging Instagram Reels, Stories, TikTok videos, and YouTube content. * Transform raw footage into polished and professional video content. * Add transitions, text, subtitles, graphics, music, sound effects, and visual effects. * Create short-form videos designed to attract and engage social-media audiences. * Work closely with the marketing and content team to develop creative video concepts. * Edit educational, promotional, event, and social-media content. * Maintain consistent CAGS branding across all video content. * Optimize videos for different platforms, formats, and screen sizes. * Organize and manage video footage and digital media files. * Complete editing projects according to deadlines. * Stay updated with current social-media trends, editing styles, and content formats. Requirements * Strong video-editing skills. * Creative storytelling ability and a strong visual sense. * Experience creating Reels, Stories, TikTok, and YouTube content. * Ability to create engaging promotional and marketing videos. * Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, and/or Adobe After Effects is an advantage. * Good understanding of video composition, pacing, transitions, audio, and visual effects. * Creative, detail-oriented, and willing to experiment with new content ideas. * Ability to manage multiple editing projects and meet deadlines. * Ability to work independently and as part of a creative team. * A portfolio of previous video-editing work is preferred.
