Video Editor Company: CAGS ā Ceylon Academy of Gemmological Science Position: Video Editor Department: Marketing & Media Location: Malabe Job Summary CAGS ā Ceylon Academy of Gemmological Science is looking for a creative and talented Video Editor to join its growing Marketing & Media team. The ideal candidate should have a strong visual sense, creative storytelling skills, and experience producing engaging content for Instagram Reels, Stories, TikTok, YouTube, and promotional campaigns. Key Responsibilities * Edit professional and engaging videos for social media and digital marketing. * Create Instagram Reels, Stories, TikTok videos, and YouTube content. * Produce promotional and marketing videos for CAGS. * Transform raw footage into polished, engaging video content. * Add suitable transitions, graphics, text, subtitles, music, and visual effects. * Create short-form content designed to capture audience attention. * Work closely with the marketing and media team on content ideas and campaigns. * Maintain consistent branding across video content. * Optimize videos for different social-media platforms and formats. * Organize and manage video footage and other media assets. * Stay updated with current social-media trends and video-editing techniques. Requirements * Strong video-editing skills. * Good creative storytelling and visual sense. * Experience creating Reels, Stories, TikTok and YouTube content. * Ability to create engaging promotional videos. * Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut and/or Adobe After Effects will be an advantage. * Good understanding of video formats, resolutions, and social-media requirements. * Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. * A portfolio demonstrating previous video-editing work is preferred. Requirements
