Job Descriptions – Cargills Vegetable & Fruit Distribution Centre, Wattala 1. Supervisor The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the vegetable and fruit distribution centre. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and coordinate staff and daily work activities. * Monitor receiving, sorting, packing, storing, and distribution operations. * Ensure quality standards for vegetables and fruits are maintained. * Monitor employee attendance and work performance. * Ensure workplace safety and cleanliness. * Maintain smooth workflow and report operational issues to management. * Ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and on time. 2. Service Assistant The Service Assistant supports the day-to-day handling and distribution of vegetables and fruits. Key Responsibilities: * Assist with sorting, packing, loading, and unloading products. * Arrange and store vegetables and fruits correctly. * Prepare products for distribution to Cargills outlets. * Maintain cleanliness of the working and storage areas. * Assist with stock handling and inventory-related activities. * Follow food safety and quality standards. * Provide general operational support when required. 3. Data Entry Operator The Data Entry Operator is responsible for accurately recording and maintaining information related to distribution centre operations. Key Responsibilities: * Enter stock, delivery, and operational information into computer systems. * Maintain accurate records and documentation. * Update inventory and distribution-related data. * Check entered information for accuracy and correct errors. * Prepare basic reports when required. * Organize and maintain electronic and physical documents. * Coordinate with warehouse and administrative staff regarding records and stock information. General Requirements: Candidates should be 18–50 years old, have education up to G.C.E. O/L or A/L, and relevant skills or previous experience will be an advantage.
