Cake Baker – Commis 1 | WishQue (Pvt) Ltd WishQue (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cake Baker – Commis 1 to join its bakery team in Nawala, Colombo. The successful candidate will support daily bakery production while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, hygiene, and presentation. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and bake a variety of cakes according to standard recipes and production requirements. * Prepare buns, breads, and other bakery products to required quality standards. * Accurately measure, weigh, mix, and prepare ingredients. * Follow recipes and production procedures to ensure consistent taste, texture, and appearance. * Operate ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently. * Follow daily production schedules and complete customer orders within required timelines. * Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and personal hygiene. * Store raw materials and finished products correctly to maintain freshness and quality. * Monitor ingredient usage and minimise production wastage. * Maintain a clean, organised, and safe bakery work area. * Work closely with chefs and other bakery team members to ensure smooth daily operations. * Assist with stock monitoring and inform supervisors of ingredient requirements when necessary. Candidate Profile: Previous practical experience in cake baking, bread making, or bun production is preferred. Candidates should have good knowledge of bakery techniques, food safety practices, teamwork, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. Relevant bakery training or professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
