Cake Decorator – Commis 1 | WishQue (Pvt) Ltd WishQue (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Cake Decorator – Commis 1 to join its bakery team in Nawala, Colombo. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in buttercream decorating and cake finishing, with a strong eye for quality, presentation, and consistency. Key Responsibilities * Decorate cakes using buttercream icing and other appropriate decorating techniques. * Prepare, colour, and apply buttercream according to required cake designs. * Produce smooth, neat, and professional cake finishes. * Create basic to intermediate cake designs according to customer orders and specifications. * Follow reference designs, decorating guidelines, recipes, and production instructions accurately. * Ensure consistent quality, appearance, portioning, and presentation of finished cakes. * Complete cake orders according to daily production schedules and required deadlines. * Prepare, clean, and properly maintain cake-decorating tools and equipment. * Handle ingredients and decorating materials safely and hygienically. * Minimise wastage through careful preparation and efficient use of materials. * Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation. * Work closely with bakers, pastry chefs, and other team members to ensure smooth bakery operations. Candidate Profile: Previous experience in buttercream cake decorating and finishing is preferred. Candidates should have good knowledge of basic decorating techniques, strong attention to detail, creativity, teamwork skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment. Relevant bakery or cake-decorating qualifications will be an added advantage.
